Poultry Research Programs at MSU
The Poultry Science Department is actively involved with research in many different arenas under the authority and direction of the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station (MAFES). MAFES was mandated by the U.S. Congress and the Mississippi Legislature for the purpose of conducting scientific research in agriculture, forestry and related sciences. When the Poultry Science Department was established in 1946, the faculty scientists assumed the responsibility for conducting research that increases the scientific knowledge related to poultry and poultry production. Recent research projects and the information gained from these activities can be found in the selections listed below.
