SOCIOECONOMIC DETERMINANTS OF TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION AMONG NURSERIES AND GREENHOUSES

pot filling

As the value of horticulture production increases over time, it is expected that nursery and greenhouse growers will improve production efficiency, increase adoption of mechanized/automated production technologies, improve working conditions and workers’ safety, and enhance markets of horticulture products. Identifying the significant factors enhancing or limiting adoption of technological innovations would improve our understanding of the overall decision making process involved in the mechanization efforts of nursery and greenhouse operations.
